STRIPE veteran here - Let Me Drop Some Knowledge

I have been working with the guys from Uniq for a few months now, they are good in what they do, but they are also fighting an uphill battle. Had my Stripe account closed after 3 weeks of operating, they appealed and Stripe was active again (yes, actually won an appeal). Then selfie KYC was triggered and upon completion, the account got banned instantly again.

Customer service has been really good though, especially Michael, but we were extremely unlucky I think.

HK Stripe set-up by the way. Got a new Stripe now so I am implementing the payment form and then we'll see if we can keep this one alive.
the banned after 3 weeks account was HK or other country?
Why was the stripe triggered in the first place do you think?

HK setup, no clue, might be because most payments were with iDEAL & Bancontact (local payment methods) or because of the payment page (hosted on subdomain), we were following the warmup limits.
Could just be extremely unlucky, but they provided a new Stripe account free of charge.

What can the fees rates for high-risk merchants reach? Are there possible subcategories, for example, where gambling is priced higher than adult, or vice versa? Could you please elaborate on the pricing structure? Thank you!

Actually, they already have! It's the point of the thread and the answer just landed in my inbox. Now run along little one.
Tell us also what was the answer that landed in your inbox?

sidential proxies with antidetect browser. Always check
one thing to add, not sure if it was mentioned on this page:
Avoid VPN
Everyone using your Payment Gateway should be logged in with a clean IP and checkout with the same / clean IP

Because this is a hard factor which triggers payment service providers.

Socks5 is ok; good proxy in general, but avoid public VPNs; even Mullvad.

When stripe suspended did they give you stripe clear your pending account balance of customer order payments or they refunded customers or they simply kept the money for themselves?

Do you think stripe USA geo is good to start now as a foreigner? I’ve heard UK is not that good as of now. What about USA?

Stripe will always try to refund the money, but they will only refund if you have not paid out any money to your bank account yet.
So if you received €1000,- in orders, and still have €1000,- in Stripe balance, they will refund everything.

However, if you already paid out an amount, and only have €500,- left in Stripe, they will not refund it, instead they will hold the money for a period of 120-180 days, afterwards you can appeal and get the money back (in most cases). They do this to cover customer disputes.

This is not the case for all Stripe regions though, I know there are people who actually had all money deducted from their bank account regardless if they already paid out part of the money.

How can they deduct from bank balance after paid out? Because even bank doesn't offer this type of direct debit feature for merchants
Same here, but define crushing :)
I have like around 28 Stripe accounts totaling 70k usd per month.
I will be suprised if you make more then me :p
What is your method to have 28 accounts pls explain?? And how do you make sure you don't get scammed by stripe?

I believe you can set it up in Stripe to automatically have them deduct funds from your account if necessary (Direct Debit) in such cases. There have been some topics on BHW where people got large amounts deducted from their bank account even when they didn't have the necessary funds.

There are no differences based on the subcategories of business , it remains the same, based on a jurisdiction your merchant account is based on.

the acceptance rate could be lower than other jurisdictions. UK is definitely could be much more fragile in terms of ban rate.

Nice! tell us more about your experience and case!

Some banks do not have direct debit agreements with Stripe, others do have them. I have had positive experience with Payoneer in that sense, but more established banks usually have this feature available. But as with everything relating Stripe - information is always changing, so you can’t always be sure

If you create a stripe account in another location, how do you receive payout since name must match?

how do you warm up a fresh stripe account?
Gradually, starting from small volumes ($100-200 a day in the first week or so) in order not to trigger any verification

There should be an EMI. If you have an entity with Stripe in a specific location, you can open an EMI for settlement in that location’s currency and account , therefore you can withdraw funds from Stripe.

What of VPS?

What is the highest chargeback rate active account have you seen?
2%+ but it heavily depends on the type of chargebacks and responses to them, plus the ratio between won and lost cases

It is possible to open several Stripe accounts on one legal entity. However, keep in mind that if one of them gets banned, it will pose the risk to all the other ones

Thanks man, it's really helpful info and experience read. What do you think about Singapore ltd bundle?
