Strange things after 301 redirect

I set up a 301 redirect from an old domain with a regional TLD to a new one with a generic TLD (e.g., from .kz to .com) to test if changing the domain to a higher-level TLD would affect rankings.

Before the redirect, the site was consistently in the top 3. About 10 days after the redirect, following some dancing, it stabilized at the top position for the main keywords (based on data from Topvisor, Google Search Console, and Ahrefs Extension).

But here’s where it gets strange: when checking positions through an anti-detect browser with an IP from the target region in incognito mode, the site is nowhere to be seen. This aligns with the fact that traffic is surprisingly low for such high rankings.

This is the first time I’ve encountered something like this. Has anyone experienced something similar? What could be the cause?

GSC (main keyword):

SERPs will vary based on the GEO, user browsing history, language, google tld, etc...
It's not usually the same, that's why you need to use a SERP tracker,

Double check that the rediect is well set up (page to page, ssl, www, etc...),
Check GSC for any errors or problems, fetch a few pages manually if needed,

Request a change of address in GSC (settings) and simply wait,
Sometimes it might take a few weeks, up to a coupme/few months for the full effect

Check with valentin.app - it usually shows the real picture in the specific region.
