STOP using Gmail, please

Hi all,

Everyone especailly who are selling link building etc services to others, please please please stop using Gmail. You all are giving information to google that they ARE using against our sites.

I request BHW owner and moderators to NOT to accept any sell thread with gmail.

Please take it seriously.

Yes, sending report or accepting order details with gmail. Google will know who has bought the service and what exact service is provided. Google is already using this data to fuck our sites.

The things that we can understand/know with common sense; don't required any proof.

Read the story posted in other thread. They are asking people to submit spam reports and post it on their forums. Then why they won't use the information that is readily available with SOLID PROOF?

IMO, it's simple common sense; of course others may disagree :)
 
I stopped using Google products long ago. No gmail, no chrome, no to their social network.
 
I read an article recently about a guy whos amazonaws bandwidth went crazy.
He was storing hundreds of gigs of images on there and and he uploaded a CSV file
of all the URLs to DOCS
The bandwith usage came from the links in his DOCS being crawled 10 times a day.

I'll try and find that link again.

Yeah once I noticed ads showing in gmail for anything I happened to search, or use google voice and not just emails I agree. True right now it may be illegal to use that data for other reason but if things change all that data is stored for later. I still use chrome but 3rd party version called iron, they removed all that tracking stuff. I just like the browser much better then firefox and IE which eat up my memory after leaving it open and I use tons of tabs http://www.srware.net/en/software_srware_iron.php.
 
Well, if google is using our personal data, then it means the end of google?
Isn't it in their TOS/privacy policy to respect users data?
 
They do respect users data so they use it. But they don't respect users so they don't care about their issues.

BTW, they are tracking us here too as this site uses google services.

yes. i experienced something like that sometime ago. they said my account was banned, then i had to re-verify. crazy

most of google's reasoning for invading your personal privacy is that it is to "maintain and protect" their systems. and when you submit any information to them, as per their privacy policy you basically give them free reign to use it to "maintain and protect" their systems.
 
If you're that paranoid (or self-aggrandizing) you think somebody at Google's reading your email, you could just request encrypted attachments.
 
Just bcz G is the biggest, what makes you think that HM or Y are not also doing the same?
