Hi

Whenever I do game dev or IM or programming or whatever but basically its some pc/internet related work then i get bored to death.

Its SO tedious AND arduous that i cant stop myself from stopping after 30min and launching a game or movie or shitposting or reading something. ill always find explanation and rationalization for doing so.

i think IM is just boring? but anyway what vitamins do you take for focus

I use the work 40 minutes / rest 20 minutes work schedule. The resting portion can be doing whatever I want, such as browsing BHW, walking the dog, making a snack... as long as it isn't work.

I get burned out a lot less frequently doing this.

Drink about 4 pints of coffee a day.

I am facing the same problem, which i have solved before, but the cycle repeats every year, and i'm getting better at everything little by little, so it's okay

However, going in cycles means you can't be productive at one thing for long periods

This lifestyle is more abstract than specific, eventually leading you where you wanted to be, even playing games or getting any dopamine dose first seemingly unnecessary once in a while.

What worked before is that i forcefully "reprogram" my brain by faking the deep facial expressions and somewhat it connects to my subconscious and purposely repeating
the thing you want to get done in your mind goes together with the impulse/drive and then suddenly i realize that i have to quit the entertaining and start doing what i intend to.

It might not work for you in a few first times, it takes some understanding of the invisible aspect of your "mind/being" and how to turn some muscles and nerves inside the head, after some time it all makes sense

After all, according to Carl Jung, the interest we all tend to have 'randomly", procrastination or other activities which are pulling our legs goes with the flow of your
unconscious and eventually will lead to the being you are supposed to become when pieces become the whole puzzle.

However, there are two sides to everything, if anything makes sense to you and helps a little towards the goal, enjoy the ride

yee man its impossible, i finish few things/microtasks then i feel like gosh i need to stop.. i thought i lack some vitamins

Its not boring, you lack the concentration.. I was there almost for a year and renewed myself when I started working out 1 hour a day... Walk a dog, morning green tea will help you too.

That thread title along with that post is just a trip
