I had a meeting with a potential client for ORM services last week, and we got into a discussion about his company website. Since I thought the site looks pretty crap, I naturally tried up-selling web development services as well. To my surprised, he told me that the website is actually quite NEW and just launched not long ago. At that point, I was speechless for a few seconds. I shit you not, the website is so poorly designed & developed that I felt sorry for him. Images are distorted and amateur, small fonts that's hard to read, empty spaces everywhere, permalinks not properly set. Like common... how could he/she possibly live with that. The reason why I want to bring this up to everyone's attention here is that offline marketing has a lot of potential to make big money, and the conditions are quite simple & real straight forward: BE HONEST & BE RESPONSIBLE. These opportunities can become long-term solid contracts and possibly even more referrals. You should be capitalizing each lead and opportunity, and do what you were paid for. Not some crap cookie-cutter site and jet with $xxx or whatever.
