Stock Photos

Hey guys, what's the deal with putting photos up on a website? If I put a picture of a celebrity from google images on my website, is someone going to hunt me down and do something lame (ie. sue, call an isp, etc...)?

Am I really doomed to spent $85 at i*stock everytime I want to make a website?

Go to Google and type in "Free Stock Photos". There are some sites that offer Royalty-free photos for free.

Search the google and you will get a list of stock photos.

iClipart.com is okay and cheap, like $63 a year for unlimited uses.

I get all my stockphoto's from photodune quite cheap and they have good quality photos

if you have a decent copy of photoshop, there is no need to jerk around with stock imgs imo. what i normally do is pull the image i want & slightly change the color, add a drop shadow.. something that makes the image altered in a subtle way, which insures legality down the line - especially if its a logo

Yeah it doesn't insure anything

you search the free stock Image list from google and you can put that images on your website.
