Hey BHWers,

I wanted to share a method that I've successfully used on my eCommerce site to get valuable backlinks and increase traffic - and it all started with an idea I got from the .edu scholarship method. This forum has given me a lot of good and bad things so its time to share.

The key is offering something of value to potential customers, and for me, that something was stickers. I created a landing page on my site that offered free stickers in exchange for an email sign-up, with a small delivery fee that could be waived if they bought something else. This brought in a lot of leads, but the real magic happened when I started reaching out to other sites offering free stuff and asking them to link to my page. The result? Valuable backlinks with an average DR of 40 and a surge in traffic.

But here's the thing - you don't have to stop there. Why not take this even further and post on relevant forums related to your niche? Offer your free stickers as a value-added bonus to anyone who signs up. The more places you can share your offer, the more backlinks you'll get and the more traffic you'll drive to your site.

So, where do you get the stickers? It's up to you - I personally used a thermal printer to create custom labels with quotes and images, but you could also work with a sticker vendor to create something even more unique. And the best part? The cost of creating the stickers (including designing and printing) was only around $20.

In conclusion, the key to getting valuable backlinks and driving traffic to your site is offering something of value to potential customers. Stickers may seem like a small thing, but they can be a powerful tool in your marketing arsenal. I'm excited to see what kind of twists and variations my fellow BHWers can come up with.

Take a look at some of the backlinks that I got from this.

Awesome share, thanks!

A legitimate strategy for generating backlinks and traffic by offering free stickers and promoting the offer on other websites and forums. However, it's important to avoid any unethical practices.

This is the way. You're doing it right. Keep it up! I'm looking forward to seeing you catch some of the biggest fish out there :)

What did you offer to the other sites to get them to link? They are contented with just stickers?

What does your Ecommece store sells? Kiddo stuff?

Yeah, finally things are starting to click and work

The screenshot provided shows the main places where I got backlinks from. I didn't offer them anything, just a polite email asking them to include my free stickers offer.

My store falls within the B2B range and is similar to sports trophies. So if you were selling sports trophies, then you'd develop a range of stickers that customers can use to celebrate their achievements - like first place, second place, or trophies to put on their laptop or car bumper. I've also experimented with vinyl clear labels to create personalized bumper stickers, such as "My Son Won First Place".

I'm interested in exploring the demand for these stickers and potentially adding them as an add-on to my products. I've seen some plant sites offer free stickers with each purchase of a plant over a certain amount, with messages like "Green Thumber", "Plant Mom", or "Don't Let Cats Eat Me". This inspired me to adapt the idea to my own market and create stickers that resonate with my customers.

Ultimately, the key is to know your market and adapt the idea to fit their needs and interests. By providing a value-added bonus like stickers, you can encourage customer loyalty and make your brand stand out. The backlinks are honestly a bonus.

This method is totally Whitehat....offering things for backlinks.

Perhaps the one of the best method seen recently. The cost is surely lesser than buying backlinks and purely organic

Always try to offer some sort of free tool or resource, or regular 'giveaway' on your sites. The 'free stuff' scene is massive and a lot of those sites have been around for literally decades. Definitely a source of both backlinks and traffic if you can appeal to peoples' want of getting something for nothing.
