Hi everyone,
I just finished setting up an autoblog using WP O Matic. Now, I'm sure there are better plugins out there for this but I haven't check them out yet. This post is just to provide the step by step procedure on how to set up an autoblog using WP O Matic just in case anyone's interested.
It's my first time to set up one so I'd have to say that this is perfect for beginners.
So login to your Wordpress site and follow these steps:
1. Go to plugins.
2. Click on "Add New".
3. Search for the term "wp o matic".
4. Install.
5. Go to "Settings".
6. Select WP O Matic.
7. Make sure that SimplePie is compatible with the server. Just click the test.
8. Follow the steps. Only copy the code after the asterisks.
9. Go to the Cpanel and Cron Job. Add the code to the Command field and set the Common Settings.
10. Make a campaign. Click "Add Campaign" on the Dashboard.
11. Search for RSS feeds. Search in Google using the string "keyword + rss".
12. Look for relevant content that is usually updated.
13. Click on the RSS. Right click and select "Copy Link Location".
14. Go back to the Dashboard and fill in the information.
15. Click Feeds and put in the URL.
16. Click Categories to add or select categories.
17. Select Options and edit as necessary. This is where you can cover your behind.
18. If Options under Add Campaigns is not writable, go to cpanel or FTP program like FileZilla. Add the folder that is not writable and right click to make it writable. Just put 777 on the numeric value.
19. Click on "Fetch" to grab your first few posts.
