Static Vs Responsive Website SEO

Hi,

I have static site and want to to rank in google but i am worried that its not mobile compatible. If i do seo and rank it in future is there any chances that my ranking may fall due to its not responsive or shall i continue doing seo for static site and create mobile website for mobile user. I am saying separate site for mobile user like using tool: dudamobile and start working on seo for static site. Please advice

Going by your current location, if you are ranking a site in that location, then one would go with a responsive site. Simply because firstly mobile search is on the up (or so I have read, you can search the big G and confirm) and because in India one would image there would be a higher uptake in mobile internet when compared to a countries with more fixed line internet connections. I might be wrong, but I am going with logic. Good luck to your ranking.

There's an article from an authoritative source http://www.seroundtable.com/google-responsive-design-ranking-17536.html where Google representative says that responsive design has no impact on rankings. And I think it really doesn't. At least right now. The only thing it might have influence on is usability which is of course important because nobody wants negative experience with a website. However, in your place I wouldn't worry about rankings so far.
