I'm planning on starting a new channel, would it be best to buy an aged account from the marketplace? Or should I just make a new channel myself? I want to rank for some major keywords.

I think always better to create it by yourself, proxy will make it suspicious

if you don't know the history or track record from that aged account, i think better make a new one.

Don't see any reason to buy aged channel.

Only if they have already established good channel authority in a niche and have a sub base that will watch on upload. I'd create your own and invest the time to build it up.
