Starting new Blog - Need help

Hello blackhatworld community,

After learning on the community since 2 years i decided to start new Blog.

It will be food blog and domain its free for my keywords.

The blog will be adsense based and maybe later affiliate products.

I have some questions:

1- For example the domain will be "bestfunnyideas .com" with primary keywords "funny ideas". The articles will be like "best funny ideas for making love" will keywords "funny ideas for making love" and "best funny ideas for playing" with keywords "funny ideas for playing". If i create categories like "Funny ideas for family" and "funny ideas for friends" will be the blog seo-optimized ?? whats is best practice for this ?

2- What is the best to have homepage single article or like a normal blog ??

3- If i started like a blog and later need to add other pages for affiliate or anything else, can i do this ?

You shouldn't run into any keyword cannibalisation issues, but there are plenty of on-page SEO guide here that go over this.

Everyone does something differently. Some people display a list of their articles, others have a few, and some people don't display articles on their homepages at all.

Yes, you can add pages later on.

Based on my personal experience I think it's better to create a homepage that will lists your current articles on each category.By doing that, people tend to notice your current and previously posted articles easily.

Yes, of course, you can do that. You can include them in blog posts or create a special page for your the affiliate products that you wanted to promote.

Since you are starting off a new blog, have a silo structure for your blog from the beginning. This way all your pages will be connected to the main page. Adding pages later shouldn't be a problem for you with the silo structure.

You meaning that i need to write my articles in the page format and not in the post format ?

I have learned for silo structure but its hard to understand. They recommended to have structure like :

Home page - Silo page - category - supporting page.

But how can create this structure ? The "silo page" it's page with content ?

Can i add category to pages ?

Although the categorization layout you mentioned is fine, you still need to keep the navigation system.

Focus more on the content.

Look for products and services people are interested in.

Tools like buzzsumo.com can help you find content that has an audience.

Put together a website that has a great deal of personality.

Stay away from single page article homepage, instead, feature a blog post.

This is the most versatile and attainable way to go forward.

Also, invest in serious branding.

The niche you get into may be overloaded, hence, making the format and user expectation high.

Come up with a solid branding strategy, otherwise, your blog will easily fail and collapse.

Food site would work well with social media and image search too. Fill out your images alt tags and descriptions then embed them on cheap sites to help them rank better and net you more traffic. People love food pictures.

In simple answer, you may explain about your site and its importance or different things than other sites.

Everyone doing the same as you going to do that is adding affiliate links after adding much articles and getting top.
