Hello!
I decided to start my own dropshipping store (aliexpress + shopify) and there's one thing that bothers me.
Is it necessary to contact suppliers before selling their products? After some research, a lot of articles about dropshipping were making it look essential. So I decided to contact some sellers/manufacturers to ask about a cooperation, but no replies so far.
In the meantime I was watching some videos on the subject, and people were just adding products without contacting anyone..
So if you are running this kind of bussiness, I would really appreciate an informed reply. I am mostly concerned with getting my account banned/breaking some rules, that's why it's important to me.

Also, I know that you should contact seller not to include their shop information/branding etc. You have to do this everytime you place your order, or once at the beginning of this cooperation..

Thanks for your help!

I use this app for Shopify called Oberlo. It basically handles everything for you and no, you don't contact the suppliers. At least I haven't unless I was trying to get a large wholesale deal going.

In the payment process in aliexpress you can notify the suppliers that this order it's dropshipping so they don't include any invoice or any info about them.
There are apps that automate the orders process.
So if you want to contact the suppliers they will reply to you if they notice you ordering a lot from them start contact them after you place more than 50 order with them to make some arrengment with them like
1- make extra discount for you in bulk order
2- if you sell for example 50 item each day you can send them cvs file with order
3- if they are trusted and there delivery are fast you can ask them if they can provide other product you like in aliexpress (they usually will cost more cents than the other supplier but you already have a good relationship with them and they fast in delivery and you narrow down the number of supplier you contact with)
Just my thoughts;)
