Starting Authority Site; Current Backlink Strategy? IFTTT Good too?

Hey, so I'll be posting about 1-4 articles per day (500 words+) on my site. I'd like to rank it using quality content, and I'll have branded social media accounts.

What's the best way to backlink in order to help rank in search? My methods may be old and I'm wondering what people are doing these days.

My idea is that I'd do some sort of massive IFTTT ring (or multiple IFTTT rings) - I do worry that might be sort of spammy for the SEO.

What's the best backlinking methods these days? (for each article, 1-4 per day)

Maybe try writing 1 money site Article and build your social profiles linking back to it. Post unique content on those social profiles and build your ifttt networks off those

so 1 site would have 8 social profiles linking to it and those 8 social profiles each have a ifttt wheel ^^

1 unique post for money site followed up with 1 unique post for each of the 8 social profile which gets streamed to your network

Also I would focus on 1 long 700-1000 word article for money site and 200-400 word articles for supporting profiles depending on their char limits

can you please explain what yu mean with 200-400 word articles for supporting profiles?
 
no one will give you best backlinking method. I can tell you that I gathered multiple offpage methods from this board and mixed them all (in huge volume). and it works
 
If they're low competition keywords, forum posts and blog comments can be a start. You can try Quora and Reddit as well. For more competitive keywords, you can follow up with a lot of quality web 2.0's and PBN's and eventually you'll get there. Also, 500 words doesn't sound that convincing to rank. Make it more elaborate in the 1500-2000 range with images, h1(h2) titles, and bullet points.

It won't be enough, but it is a good start.
Make sure all properties on your IFTTT ring are branded for your future authority site.
Besides posting to social media, make sure you're active to get people 's attention.
