Starting an offline business

Skilled trade businesses do well. I own a glass company and specialize in installing frameless shower doors and custom mirrors. Clear about 5-6k a week after paying overhead.

Sex sells. And people are a bunch of fat fucking pigs.

Sooo...

Strip joint that serves hamburgers for the win! :D
Most strip joints you can get a $5 porterhouse lol

Cleaning niche.

Especially in California where the demand is high. But there’s a language barrier between the workers and clients. Something to fix that would well.

I owned a Janitorial service some 30 years ago and you are correct, the profit margins are off the charts good.

If you had to start an offline business, what niche would you choose ? Some specific points that I will be glad to hear from you guys :

1) What is better to these two - Selling high margin items in less volume or selling large volume of low margin (and low cost) products.

2) What is the limiting factor in an offline business except budget ?

3) If you had or have an offline business, what would have done differently if you started it again from scratch.

Thanks.

1) Well, both have their (dis)advantages :
While higher priced items attract people with more money, they will expect better quality but are USUALLY also less of a PITA to deal with for smaller issues. If the low-cost product is well made and does not need tons of service it's obviously appealing to more people and thus easier to sell.

2) Location. But that also depends highly on what you sell. Mass product as could be found somewhere else--> people will not go out of their way to a crappy location.
Do research on foot/car traffic in the location you are considering.

What products do you think that people will line up to buy throughout the year. When I see an offline store empty, it really appears to be waste of time and resources.

Offline businesses are still present and they use other sources of advertisement like TV commercials, banners, etc. as they are conjusted to a typical area. If you want to do a worldwide business then you have to make it online as well, as far as I think. Do you agree with me?

Nice and good information which is really very useful. Do share more threads like this.

I am more interested in offline businesses with minimal or no online work required.

Actually people who are suggesting are good but they are telling as per their view/location/place. I advise you to look over all your nearest area and then you can make a small plan for a separate thing or work doesn't matter it's major or minor. Just go through it
Hope you will get something wonderful
Best of luck buddy

The first question I would ask myself if I was going to start an offline business. Is what am I good at and what do I have a passion about. If you don't have a passion for what you are about to do it will either fail or you will be so ready to get rid of it because its not what you really like doing.
