Okay so. I am a musician I've been making music for 10 years now and I have a DistroKiid account that is verified on Spotify I have like 6 songs that have organically gained around 150k streams, I am only saying this because i want you guys to tell me does this help me in this project. Now to the main question..

I have no idea about computers, coding etc.. Can anyone here explain to me like I'm 10 how does this even work, what are my first steps to make this and when I get with the developer what should I request from him to make I am taking into considiration that he never heard about this and I should explain to him the technical side of the program he will make.

Thanks in advance

It’s actually not as far out of reach as you would imagine.. I know people making a living off it and I can see myself supporting myself off streaming very soon.
If you’re gonna make ambient music, its not gonna be too hard to make a living off it, you get massive streams but not many fans. You just gotta understand spotifys ecosystem and how to get placements.
A lot of people here have a very negative view like nahh thats impossible or only for a few. I’d say if you wanna be a proper artist and have loyal fans who love the story line, vocals etc that might be a lot harder to make a living. But if you do make a living off a vocal based style of music, theres no ceiling, it can be as big as ed sheeran etc. and remember u need to use a lot of tools like proxy and an antidetectbrowser

Yes they have cottoned on to what you are doing. You will eventually get them all taken down now. Spotify are making lots of changes to try and combat people phone farming. You would probably be better off starting completely from scratch with new accounts and new music before they shut you down completely. I would also recommend using some of the other streaming sites. The only ones worth it are apple and amazon music. Less phones seems to mean you are less likely to be caught. Good luck. I had to stop as it was getting too difficult and kept getting taken down

Did you already make a streaming farm or are you in the process?
