If you have a big social media following it can usually be pretty easy to get people to get involved
It's easy getting people involved regardless of the size of your following. The problem, as I said in my previous post, is finding GOOD people who actually do GENUINELY want to help. It's easy to filter out the obvious fuckers. You'll start to detect warning signs / red flags, immediately. It's the ones who are a bit more cunning, who are far more difficult to spot. Eventually, you may find yourself at the point to where you're just like, "fuck everybody! Everyone is a damned scammer!"
When you reach this point, just take a step back, and remind yourself that there are good people in this world. You've got to really try hard to remember this. Your inbox will fill, day in, and day out, with people wanting to "help", and usually with a price tag associated with it, or some other motive behind it, such as being an admin or ...something.
Finding actual quality people who really want to help, and with no strings attached, aside from a genuine interest in your project, is like finding hay in a needle stack in a room with 10x the Earth's gravity, while hopping on one leg, all while trying to win an ass-kicking contest.
...IT'S EFFING HARD.
