Started classifieds website.

Hi guys,

I just started a classifieds website, and like any others - I'm getting hard time to get the traffic.
Read a lot of SEO, but as I can see, there are many people that are just copying what is generally known, but not so much that really know what they are doing.
I know classifieds is a hard subject, I know that scraping other sites won't get you anywhere in google, but need to start from something, so that users that get on the site do not see empty list of ads.
So I'm looking for help to start getting good traffic on the site. Anyone got any good tips? I'm even willing to pay for this help.

I had a similar idea before but haven't got time to do it yet.

Just sharing my idea and see what others have to say about it.

First, I'd scrap some content from other classifieds sites and import it to my own sites to make it look active and encourage less bounce rate.

Then I'd create a curated reviews on certain products posted on my site, put a video on it and share it on social media.

This could work for a new product or any products that have interesting reviews made on Youtube.

The concept is like CL+ViralNova but then again I havent tested it yet

A classified site will have little you can optimise for on it. Promote it using social media I would say.

The only thing classified sites rank for is junk queries.

I started a classifieds too, got almost no traffic without advertising, very low traffic from social media, but now I am advertising on classifieds blog, getting 20-200 ads daily, adsense earning is also good
