10 february, i just post my 51th article...

i check my rank and i found that i get 2 featured snippet..

and i found some of my article are still dancing,, i hope they will get featured snippet soon

the example is https://www.shouselaw.com/nevada/weaponhub.html, it talks about regulation in a region....actually this is the government job to inform people, but sometimes the government has no time to build website and answer people's question..

So you use .com domain or .gov domain?

i just targeting micro topic at a time, for example keyword "can i bring loaded gun in nevada" if i can rank and get traffic from this keyword, i just wrtite another article "can i bring loaded gun in arizona" and other region.

now i have written 55 articles and all of them are only cover 2 micro topic similiar with keyword "can i bring loaded gun", but you must be careful because your article can be caniballing each other

I dont really understand about html language, because i use visual editor to write articles...
 
12 february.
article written : 57, 20 of them are still less 1 weeks old not ranking yet..

i remove statistic plugin from my wordpress because it is not working properly, now i start to gain about 300 pv perday, and my february plan, i want to write 100 articles and get 1K pv per day..

here is the histats

i start to put adsense on my site, but the code is not mine, i join and JV adsense, and the page speed dropped like hell. i want to make it faster bus still dont find the way..

i have install litespeed cache, use rel preload for my font, i use small image, and only use one adsense async js. but still the speed score is less than 50 via google pagespeed insight.

It depends on the competition and the search volume...

But on average, it is 800-1000 words per article...

But if the keyword i target is on super low volume, i post like <400 words and still can rank... it means below 100 searches a month
 
13 february, domain age 49 days. articles 57, Backlink 37,

yesterday i do some optimation to my website, i add internal linking plugin that anchoring to my homepage with my main keyword as anchor, and i also put some external link to my main articles to improve trustworthiness..

and i see my traffic start to spike one more time.. it seems that today it will gain 550 to 600 pv. i hope that tomorrow it will improving

my ranking is spiking, i got 22 of my articles are ranking on page 1 google, and 15 of my articles are on pag 2 google. 4 articles are rank #1 and 2 of them are winning featured snippet.



i also create 2 articles with less than 200 words count, targeting super low competition, at the first day it rank no #1 directly, but after 3 days, i see the rank is decreasing to rank #6.
I think if i don't add value to these articles, the rank will decreasing..

eventhough it is only 200 words article, but the information that i deliver is legit...

so maybe i will use it as my case study

What plugin are you using for internal linking?
 
You are doing good start ! That niche site is specialized so not many people can write about it.
It's may be too early to say this but if you do well, then this kind of your website can grow very fast that even you can't expect. In Vietnam i live, 5 out of 10 most viewed websites are about political news as yours (although some tweak a bit like include entertain news, social news,etc), roughly 100M views/month.

Just remember two most crucial factors about news site is Latest and Accurate so maybe when your site grows more you can consider collaborate with other people to write articles. Then in the long future, if your site make decent money, you can really think about doing serious business with it.

i hope that it will make me decent amount of money.... thanks for sharing, 100 M is so much traffic...., even though vietnam is not as big as indonesia....can you give me some example of the example, so i can copy how they do make wesbsite?

I am starting to write a website about computer hardwares, hope it can make money to help me pay college fee. Anyway, goodluck to both of us.
