How do I raise finance for a business in the US, as a legal immigrant ? Thinking about buying a food truck, I don't know exactly how much I will have to raise, but at least 30k. Anyone knows the process ?

Well, not sure what you are referring to, but getting funding for a food truck would lead me to:
- Personal loan
- Business loan (unlikely to get approved unless you have a killer business plan)

Of course, you could try gofundme, but I'd say your chance of getting it all there is like 0.01% at best.

Dont start a business you wont make money. too much competition.

I don't think that 30 grand will get you much of a food truck but you can call my younger brother and he can give you better numbers.

As to borrowing you can get an SBA loan if you have assets to back up the loan that they can attach.

But if you are borrowing to start a business you are on the verge of being nuts.

If you have collateral or a good credit you can apply for a SBA loan or a startup business loan but keep in mind they will ask for a lot of documents.

Crowdfunding do not work like it used to, by that i mean everything business related.. All projects require an investment, for traffic, videos and everything else.. Chances are that you wont raise anything if you are not goingt to start something very innovative and have good marketing team, or some big social group supporting you.

How about selling other stuff like hand made or antique jewelry??
In a food truck? He will be out of business in no time. Of course, he could also have something that relates to the food from a specific country etc.
Anyway, food trucks are hard business and unless you have a great new concept it is very tough.

How about dumping the idea of selling anything from the truck and big investment that will not generate any decent profit, instead investing 10x times less into dropshipping business and not having to deal with any of that bullshit.

I don't know what is dropshipping and I believe in my food truck idea, it would be my step before opening a place. Then having both.

I already have a business in my country as a proof of success and experience. My business is totally inspired by the US fast casual style.

Thank you all for the advices :) I don't want to disclose my business now, but as I mentioned I do have experience here in my country in the field, and I researched a lot about food trucks, from real owners, TV shows and stuff
