The beta phase I has ended yesterday and now I feel empty as I can't play anymore. I was diamond league 1v1 2v2 random 3v3 random and 4v4 random.

I have withdrawal symptoms :(

I was diamond league too.. I feel lost without my Starcraft. I tried to play WC3 again.. ITS SO TERRIBLE

Try cocaine, no major physical withdrawals, probably healthier then sitting inside all day on the computer, not joking lol (-:

oh shit! i didn't even know.. just tried to login now =(

I like war3 but the resolution feels outdated now on my new widescreen :(

The game itself si still fun and very different... I loved the hero concept!

you guy's are lucky you got to play sc2 i couldn't get a beta key lol

about 70 email/zip submits will get you the game...its not that hard.

I lost against the computer in 1v1 random yesterday on Easy, should i try multiplayer instead? :p

I been looking at youtube videos, game looks sweet.

I grew up on SC, hung out with friends during and after school, then from 10 o clock or midnight on was pure Broodwar with them.

I got a beta key and I played it a couple times but then I wiped it from my PC and probably won't buy SC2. I know i'll get addicted lol, my problem is either I don't play a game, or I have to be the best and play until I'm #1 , i rather direct that energy towards IM.

I looked at the videos on youtube and frankly I don't see what all the fuzz is about. It looks like an updated version of the old starcraft instead of something revolutionary.

I'm more looking forward to Mafia 2 which looks awesome from the game trailers.

They had to balance updating the game to the graphics quality modern gamers expect whilst not alienating the core fanbase by changing the basics. Remember in South Korea their mad about this game, its a national sport. Changing the basics to much would screw would out of the hardcore fans.

Just the story and the single player mode worth the $59.99 + tax.

Yeah, I'm not down with waiting 11 years between chapters in the story, though. >:|

true that, now i'm like...stuck waitng for the second chapter, hopefully they release it when i hit my 30s (i'm 28) and then final chapter when i'm in my 40s. God knows if there are any expansions....but they generally come out quicker than the full game

Then the battlechest will come out in 15 or so years that will have all the chapters and expansions if any, in there.

Diablo 3 better come out next year to keep me distracted...

I can only imagine what's happening in Korea now that SC2 is out :D

Some crazy Starcraft kiddies there lol.

"The Heart of the Swarm expansion pack, covering the Zerg single-player campaign, and the Legacy of the Void Protoss expansion are expected to launch later this year, though no precise release date has been specified, yet. Knowing Blizzard-Activision, don't be surprised if that release target slips. "

Hopefully this is true, that means I don't need to wait til I start growing white hair.
