Standard sales page - does it make you sick?

May be its just me, but even before I dived into the marketing world the first glimpse of standard sales page, the one that was supposed to make me buy, made me sick instead.

I mean I wasn't aware that there is entire market around this, I never heard of Clickbank, SEO and black hat communities, however intuitively I felt that sales pages were invented to make it easier for people like me to recognize scam on the web.

Now, years later, I understand that some of such a pages have real and valuable content behind them... but I can't help it already - I got used to classify them as scam.

Do you feel the same about them? Or its just me?
