Title says it all. After google said an SSL could potentially increase your rank a few months ago, I am wondering if it's worth moving to SSL, and has anyone seen noticeable increases after doing so?

I have seen this also. Not a great deal but over a few domains.

do you know if the quality of cert makes a difference? and the company signing it

Even if it does, few backlinks to the competitors will send you back to the same position where you were before. :)

It's just propaganda to make you buy those certificates, it doesn't do shit. Why the hell would a simple blog have a certificate that doesn't deal with any sensitive information or transactions? It does not make sense. For other e-commerce websites, they have 1 anyway if they are serious about their business.

Not only the traffic . Security purpose you can use it SSL..

well to some extend, i agree with your logic. But It is the same way if you have .com domain or a .tk domain. may be search engines rank SLL better on the same logic.
