Spotify Introduces In App DM's

Everything can be abused. Does that mean everything should not exist?

This isn't enough for me to use Spotify again. I even prefer YouTube. There're probably better things to focus on than adding a chat feature.

As a side-note, I'm searching for an android app to use for music, yet haven't found any that I like. In the ones I've tried, adding songs to one's playlists is slow and clunky. Ideally, it should have a feature where users can add songs to their playlists via the search bar.

Spotify is slow to add features. I actually think that the ability to DM, share songs and playlists within the app is an obvious addition. However, it should have been done 10 years ago.

And as for the best music platform, I still think it's Spotify. I listen to music all day everyday. 24/7. And the music discovery is 10x better than any other platform in my opinion. I also don't find adding songs to playlists to be intrusive at all, it's 2 clicks on PC and 4 on mobile. There could remove 1 click on mobile though, I will give you that. I don't see how they would get more effiecent than 3 clicks however.

I think that it is utimately easier to just download the music files yourself and save them to a file manager app of some sort. At least then, you never have to worry about losing access to your favourite artists.

Personally, I have never been a fan of Spotify's UI. I always found it a bit unintuitive. It is simple and thus efficient, I'll admit. I think that they are slow just because there is no real competition for them.
 
Weird surprise, I don't think it will last long. Probably like YT dms when they used to have that.

Yeah That's true even many Spotify artist aren't happy with the way Spotify works they should focus more own user experience then adding useless features it's an app to enjoy songs and music not for communication
