How scale-able is this? I think I have the framework for a highly sophisticated version of this method, but is Spotify/Apple music highly profitable ? Can you or anyone speak on rough numbers on what x bot(s) generate in x days?
This is highly scalable. We have tested upto 150 instances that are capable of producing a stead stream of income. Some of our best months, as we dont get greedy are about 2-4k in earnings. Its not the capability that is the bottleneck. Its making sure your undetected. So the name of the game is slow and steady. We have had albums taken down, when we were agressive. But we have also figured out a way to boost profiles and remain undetected. For the most part we bot content that we dont mind being taken down under artists that dont matter too much. But we have also tried it on live real artist in a slow way. For example we took a completely unknown artist with a few songs from nothing to having their spotify radio built by the algorythm wich happens when the algo sees plays from like artists and and we also boosted their profile to over 20k plays that week. Like I said its slow and steady. And it only works if you have alot of music to work through. one or two albums isnt enough.

Don't use VPN. The account will get banned.
This isnt entirely always the case. There are VPN providers with residential capabilities. The idea is most datacenter VPNs are def not going to work as well.
Do not do this! Anyone else that has this idea, do not do this! A man was caught doing this recently and he faces 20 years in prison. A simple google search will show this is a bad idea.
