If your using Amazon, it drops a tracking cookie.
Your answer though, is if they don't sign up for anything, you don't make any money. About 1:20 will end up buying something from Amazon. Nothing is guaranteed. They might buy a bottle of pepto-bismol, they buy a 1080p tv. Either way, I have used this method before, so I know it works.

Don't do too many posts in one day, upload good images, and spread it over accounts. This account is still active and hasn't been deleted.

That's the point. You have to pick a niche to target. I have several that have done well in the past. Unicorns wouldn't be considered one of them.

question that kinda goes with this.

does most of your commissions come from random products.. not ones you necessarily tumblr about?

basically cookie dropping.

I'd also be really careful with this, there are no release or GNU licenses on Tumblr and you do get a lot of professional artists and photographers who won't hesitate to bring lawsuits and DCMA complaints up on their work being used.

I can't say or Marusia, but for me its 50/50. Half the time I get something VERY related to my site, half the time its something else. For example, I have a sports website, and today I got lucky and sold 3 sports dvds. But last week I had a woman buy a Breast Pump cleaning device and a vintage music Record. For me seeing the weird things people buy is more interesting then the money.

Not sure how that is any different then any other blackhat method that there MAY be some small risk. The information stays hosted on Tumblrs servers, you never have to give tumblr any identifying information besides your email address, tumblr itself is built off of sharing works by other people without their permission or proper credit.

What is it that makes you feel this method is worthy of people being afraid of lawsuits, versus every thread about autoblogs and spun content? Do you have some evidence of a Tumblr user being sued by someone using a Tumblr subdirectory? I have created hundreds of tumblr accounts doing this exact same method, and tumblr just deletes the accounts as soon as their are any complaints, which has only happened 1 time for me and I was spamming HARD, so it most likely wasnt any copyright complaint, but rather a regular user reporting me.

I just dont even see how someone would be able to get my contact information from a tumblr account in order to sue me. The moment they approached tumblr, tumblr would remove the information from their servers, and they would have no lawsuit, and I highly doubt tumblr would ever release my email or ip address to them to try to file a lawsuit, unless I was a repeat offender who was getting banned daily from tumblr and slamming their servers hard.

Maybe you have some other reasoning behind your concern you can share with us, as previously mentioned, some evidence of a lawsuit against a tumblr user or other information I may not be aware of. Wouldn't Tumblr be fully responsible for the content on their servers, and responsible for any copyright lawsuits? I just can't see an individual being sued instead of tumblr, if anyone would get sued, unless that user specifically ignored repeated warnings or complaints.

And I am working on the tumblr mathord. For now I just only one account,but I found that you can create several tumblr in one account. So I want to ask what is the difference between multy accounts and one account with several tumblrs? which way is best for the tumblr making money way.

Yes, using proxies and clearing cookies is important. Tumblr WILL block access to their servers with a cookie if you abuse it hard. I used a bot to create and spam 20~ blogs in about 10 minutes, and the next day when I tried to visit Tumblr, it just brought up a blank page until I cleared their cookie. I would use 2-3 accounts per IP without being concerned. But if you want to do 5-10 accounts, I would use proxies and clear cookies after every few.

Hi futurestunner - you have to change the link when you are trying to "re-blog" a post. There you will have an option to change the source link. I recommend using bit.ly to track clicks on the pictures, though be careful not to become obsessed and start watching it like mad.

A little update:

I started this on the night of Jan 21 and spent maybe 20 min. on it. Yesterday I added a few picks while watching football games.

Today I saw yesterday's earning and already $1.49. Malusia is right about the payout within a couple of days. I got paid for a piano mat, which has nothing to do with my niche, but that is how it goes I guess. Today I will try to create another MN blog and see if i can increase payout to $5 / day. that's the goal for now

I am trying this method out, have a tumblr in a very responsive niche 260 followers and gaining nearly 40 more per day. Initially tried it with clickbank, got a few hundred hops but no conversions. I'm gonna try this with amazon now and hopefully get a better conversion rate.

Yes, I did exactly what she said, which takes less than 10-15 minutes. I created a Tumblr blog, reblogged pictures, and then every time i reblog a picture (or see a picture in my niche during my search), i just follow them. most of the time the people posting the pictures in my niche are interested in my niche so they follow back.

in two days i'm up to 23 followers (i have followed 200 people to get that many). this is really useful because followers see your blog AND re-post the pictures many times. from my experience they don't change the link either, so there are people that have never seen your blog seeing it elsewhere and potentially clicking.
