I just have a question for guys here who have a lot of experience in dealing with sponsorship deals/brand deals.

In two years of being a youtuber I have done deals with various brands and thankfully none of them scammed me so far.
But my other channel recently reached 50k subs and it started getting more sponsorship offers, almost daily.
But a lot of them only use @gmail.com domain in their emails so it's hard to kinda to trust them.

I've heard and seen a lot of youtubers who accepted sponsorship deals and never got paid so I was thinking of asking anyone who inquires like 20-50% deposit upon signing an agreement to make sure I don't get scammed.
Will it seem arrogant to do that when my channel only has 50k subs and views only ranging from 10-20k views per video (inconsistent weekly/bi-weekly upload) ?
What do you guy think?

so like ask them for full payment in advance? I dont think that will work
They trust you enough to come to you, right? Why not ask for full payment?
Depending on what they are advertising. Some of these sponsorship deals are middle men, so they wouldn't need a brandable email before they are trusted.

your covering you back. 30% up front seems reasonable.

I only work with brands I know, like and trust. My audience appreciate it

It is possible that they are small companies . You can trust them, few seconds integration is east to shoot.

they trusted you so you can ask for a 50% or a full payment.
