I agree with the suggestion. There have been instances, wherein in a single order, I get two extremes. 1 article that is really good for the price I paid while the second one seems like a 10-year-old kid would have written it.
I donno if this is the perfect solution to this problem but can be surely tried out.

Not sure how I missed this back in November. I think this is a wonderful idea, @macdonjo3, and I look forward to see it hopefully integrated into 2.0.
In the past, when I've bought content on here, two of the main issues I've had were freelancers masquerading as agencies, and agencies masquerading as freelancers. A solution such as this will lead to:
In the past, when I've bought content on here, two of the main issues I've had were freelancers masquerading as agencies, and agencies masquerading as freelancers. A solution such as this will lead to:
- Pretty obvious examples of freelancers acting as agencies (inability to handle volume, extensive turnaround times, spotty communication). I've run into multiple "agencies" that utilize multiple emails - [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] - to act as if they are multiple entities. These can be quelled, and either shut down or moved to the proper section and rebranded.
- Agencies acting as freelancers, ordering from the same person multiple times and getting completely different writing styles, typically lower quality, ability to meet extensive volume demands. These are the people I find myself having to compete against in the same space, when that shouldn't be the case. A network of ten writers can chug through ten 5,000 word orders in a couple days, just assigning one order to each agency team member. If I had a backlog of 50,000 words on my hands, I would start sweating, as that's at least 3-4 weeks of work.

I've only tried farming this out ONCE myself! I spent more time educating the Marketing Firm Writers than if I had written it myself! Also there were Technical Concepts they didn't understand that would have taken them Weeks to understand! Basicly They'd have to take a night class!

Well, the people have spoken. It looks like this has been a runaway winner with 92% of people voting yes to a split. So we are going to look into how to implement this for 2.0.
The split will require sellers to state if they're a freelancer / agency, and there will be some basic checks to determine this as part of the marketplace review process once the split is released. We'll look into the details and get back to you when we have an update!
