I have spent the last few days working on my sites speed. I run self hosted wordpress on an aws ec2 server right now.

I have swapped themes, installed wprocket premium, images, compressed images and added cloud flare can. I have a 1.1 to 1.5 second main page and post pages now.

I was getting ready to add a cookie less domain but realized that I could activate https/2 on my server if I choose to. I am trying to determine before I do either which would give me the most improvement. The http2 or the cookie less domain. I have read several articles indicating cookieless can actually slow down due to an extra handshake if you are using http2.

Has anyone tested these and can give me any tips as to why 1 would be better?

I honestly have no clue what any of those terms mean. But if you're doing this for SEO purposes there's a lot better things you should be spending your time on.

Just get your site to a respectable speed and focus on building out your site or its backlinks instead.

My 2 cents. Good luck with the speed improvement of your blog though! :)

Which ec2 server are you using, also mind saying what theme you are using?

Yea thats what I was doing for most of it was his guide, when I got to the cookie less domain is where my question came up, but also to sweely, I checked my comps scores and I was doing far better than them so I went back to articles links etc. Debating the value of adsense or not will watch it for a while. I'm still in the 1 or 2 per day max organics.
