spamming still works

The way things have been going lately with the big G, I'm starting to feel like every site is "temporary." How many of us had sites slapped silly that were once considered WH or "safe?" If you haven't experienced that, surely you know someone who has.

Today's WH site could be tomorrow's spam. The big G will arbitrarily decide what's good and what isn't and they'll let the chips fall where they may.

Seriously, at this point I am starting to wonder if churn and burn is the best long-term strategy! Who wants to spend countless hours building a nice "clean" WH site (or what we believe is WH) only to have it smacked to page 1000 of the SERPs down the road?

In the end I think G may be shooting itself in the foot since all these new black-and-white critters they are unleashing on us are discouraging people who would otherwise invest a lot of time and effort into building "good" sites.

I dunno. Maybe I'm just rambling, but I'm seriously considering getting more into the churn and burn game and just bobbing and weaving in the ring with G as the new smack downs are rolled out.

So many people responding with "it's temporary", "it won't last".

You guys obviously don't know how to build profitable websites or you would know that churn and burn is very effective now with the new google updates. It takes literally no effort to stick a site at the top (if you do it right, it takes around 15-20 min to prep it), and even if it stays for 1 day, you've already made profit. Just rinse and repeat.

Until google fixes the algorithm they keep breaking with each update (that's if they want to), building long term sites has become such a risky approach. You never know when you might get slapped.

Imo spamming your site to the top is a valid strategy but like most people said it should be for websites you want to rank quick get the money and let it crash! People that are building long term authority websites are best to stay away from spam in yout Tier 1

I agree. Sadly, a lot of people who claim to know how to build "white hat backlinks" are simply building black hat links at a slower pace.

This is the worst trap that newbie SEO's fall under. Building blackhat links slowly doesn't make it white hat. What happens is the site is not getting links fast enough to rank, and the links are bad that it's only a matter of time before it gets slapped (no matter how fast or slow you build them, its like a ticking time bomb). So the result, they never really see any good rankings at all, but still end up getting slapped. Then they spend months trying to "fix" the dead site.

Spam still works if you're really lucky. And it's pretty much a guarantee that you're going to get penalized sooner or later - Whereas a non-spammed site has the potential to stay on top permanently.

Spam will always work no matter where you go. People will always finds ways to exploit the system.

Of course this is only short term.

This is pretty eye opening to read, I've been building diversified quality links at a slow consistent pace and it has thus far gotten me to the 8 spot on the first page for my keyword. However, the site right behind me is ranked off nothing but blog comments and a large percentage of the anchor text is the guys name! It makes me feel like I've been wasting my time trying to do things "the right way". When I hear about churn and burn practice in general I do get curious about firing up scrapebox, magic submitter, etc and just going nuts but there has to be some method to the madness after all Googles updates. Today might be the day I put a quick site together and start experimenting with spam.

yep spamming does still work wonders.

i have had a site ranked off of nothing but blog comment spam for years. the trick is though that i built massive diversity in it from day one. i linked every page on the site and used about 40 different anchor text keywords and unoptimized links for each page. you should have seen the spin list for scrapebox, was effing huge!w

it took forever to get that file created but my god now i can run scrapebox on that site and continue to build out links in a somewhat natural manner. i then used this with some other tools like xrumer to build in additional diversity in the type of backlinks.

dont underestimate seting up spam campaigns properly. as hard work on the front end can let your campaigns stick true.

yes and no
No: you can bring spammy site up high, but for a very short time
Yes: you'll have to use much more power than it used to be to rank high
The fella I know uses 3 dedicated servers: 2 for instant non-stop spamming and 1 for heavy parsing of new forums and boards.
My point: what you could achieve 5 years ago with say Xrumer on the notebook at home need much more power today. Guys are spamming at 300 posts per minute, 100.000 posts per cycle
Incredibly false on all counts. 40-50 Homepage links will now rank a site for a very competitive term. I consider that to be a lot easier to manage than say, 200k Xrumer links from 50k unique domains.

I thought that the updates only had to do with quality of content and diversifying anchor texts. These updates only provide us new ways of changing how Big G cracks the whip and tells us what to do. So I think that spamming will always work unless they come up with a new algo.

As long as there is a system you will have guys like us to exploit it. Spam works and I can see it works with the money
I deposit in my bank account. Let rumors be rumors and cash tell the tale.

it wont stick there.. just wait for another panda or penguin update.. all will be wiped out..

the fact remains, spamming cant be controlled, guess even google cant beat it :D

I just love how in BHW we're all bitches who say shit like "you just don't know how to do it right" or "the game has just changed" lolololololol

Here is ANOTHER thing to keep in mind.

Panda and Penguin are one-off algos. The main algo has been updated to clearly include elements: but the proper penguin/panda algos are run periodically because it takes a lot of processing power to run them. They aren't on 24/7. I've seen websites in particular with panda build a website that would clearly make google mad - and then they rank well, until the panda update rolls out. They get SLAMMED.

The penguin algo has in my experience been more devastating - I've never seen a recovery, but have witnessed panda recoveries - but it is even more infrequent. So while a site may may MAY escape one of those algos, it is just a matter of time.

there are many which write that form time to time ..... direct blasts with sb and so on .....
i tired and did not see any success with this.

i go for content now but i am sure there are other ways ...

the new google is not going. they catch you they ban you.
