Dear BHW community MOD's.

is it possible to make a rule for posting a New thread there should be minimum post count 50+ and the the Account age must be 30 days + in all section.

Because recently to many spammers, specially the baba thread they are literally spoiling the forum with their bullshit threads. The f**kers are creating the account and the same day making hell of threads.

Any other suggestion from members will be appreciated.

Please consider this.

Limiting the new members to create thread, until they make 50 or so posts over a SPECIFIED TIME will be good, I guess. Restrict the no. of posts in a day will make them, avoid spamming the posts count in a day.

Website is pretty much crashing regularly now because of this, not sure how it'll end :/

New Members visit this place to read, to ask questions and to hire.
Limiting will affect a lot to this forum. For example HAF section.
Something has to be done keeping this in mind.

Im saying about opening the new thread , to ask questions and hire they can reply on the seller or Method posting member thread itself.

We get 5-10 reports of spam a day. Considering the number of posts this isn’t the end of the world. Hit the report button and it will get cleaned.

Re forum downtime this has nothing to do with spam postings. Ref. https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/bhw-forum-updates-18th-jan-2019-update.1086742/

We were all new once so limiting new users isn’t the answer. But we’re looking into community moderating options.

Even I am talking about opening a thread.
how can one person ask specific question on unrelated thread ?
replying to a BST is different and to hire a freelancer one has to open a thread.

I agree with this, if the number of thread created in a day is limited, it will end a lot of spam.
No normal user would want to create 5 to 20 threads in a day anyways.

Well, something should be done. Kinda embarrassing when you login, almost every second day, to see more than half threads in the homepage made by someone who loves using ***** stars **** and their phone number. Embarrassing.

There's one ignore button just click on the profile and done!

you won't see any thread or post from that baba

Problem is that the baba creates a new account every day. No matter how many times you ignore him, he will be back.

So, homepage is changed temporarily. Seems cdn failed too

Limiting new members from creating threads before 50 posts will just make this forum full of "Great journey." " I agree" and other spam types.
Limiting for example after 10 posts, MAYBE!

But BHW needs better structures subforums in my opinion, and moderators for each one of those just to keep it in order. Just my 2 cents, but I guess staff knows better than us so I believe that they will make this forum even better.

Honestly, I've never seen a forum deal with spam threads as efficiently as BHW. True spam gets deleted in minutes(sometimes seconds). As @SpawneR already said, limiting the number of posts will result in bullshit replies like Ok, Nice thread, good read, etc. Use the Report button if you think something is spam, they react really fast.

like some guys who join and spam the intro section down
get there posts struck off, then open a thread in the freebie
section and spam, sent. sent , sent. to get back up again
seen couple recently, and reported them. but thats all
we can do, report and leave it to the mods.

For starters most have no idea how much the staff appreciates the suggestions... we are a community and as a community we like to bounce ideas around and those that make policy (not me, I'm a janitor) appreciate the suggestions.

There is a ton going on behind the scenes to eliminate spam and space junk that shows up here that we all do not see (including me) but rest assured that is constantly being worked on. It's a process though and will always be a process.

Just like we game sites like FB, CL, IG, etc, people try to game forums.

Fortunately we have a pretty solid crew that has a zero tolerance policy for spam and we all do our fair share in trying to keep it from causing your BHW experience to be nothing less than positive.
