Sometimes I really hate my customers...

I sell physical products from my sites, you'd be surprised how many people don't know their own shipping address.

Some customers can drive you crazy))) but on the other hand they teach you to be calm and not to pay attention on stupidity.

OMG! I have the same problem, on the download page with very BIG letters I indicates "The file it's compress on a zip file, in order to extract it, you can use a FREE software as 7-zip and include the link to 7-zip.

Than I receive an email from a very upset buyer saying I want to rip him because I want to sell him an unzip program :banghead:

I hate customers. Every morning one of them wakes me up. I have to run out of bed, turn on my computer every single time! And it is always the same thing, "when is my product going to get here". Ughh, sometimes this shit doesn't just fly on over to your door step. If it were sales then that is one thing, but customer service sucks balls

Easy fix, never give out your phone number, just do e-mail support.

Yeah but dont you think customers look for phone numbers?

Most are lazy fucks and wouldn't bother to wipe their own asses, if they could get away with it. So I don't think the risk is very big. :)

I guess I could see if it hurts conversions

My guess is it wouldn't hurt conversions but it could hurt repeat business, if you have such a thing. Either way, yeah, test.

I think pretty much every single person who sells something on the internet experiences this. I just had a guy order 500 FB likes, then a day later after work was completed said "oh I thought this was 500 backlinks from facebook. I want a refund".

el oh fucking el.
Correction, every single person who sells anything gets this...LOL..

I was a wireless Manager and you still have people that dont know text messaging! So you have a store full of people waiting around and you have to spend an hour helping someone who is not willing to test the phone at home and come back later if they have questions. The worst part is you cant just "delete" them or email them a FAQ because they are standing right there.

Even as a restaurant manager you see some REAL idiots. We have a special that runs till 4:00 everyday it is a regular menu item just cheaper for dine in during lunch. So even though the sign says "Dine in only, till 4:00" people still ask "Can I get the dine in special to go..."
and still aks for the discount price well after 4.

C'mon, this is easy. They are just bartering for their ego boost. Just say something like "we are very sorry but that offer applies only to that period of time, but WAIT (WSO style :D), please accept this complimentary (whatever low cost item here)"

Win-win. The stupid client things he 's smart and you got out of it smoothly. ;)

I had a lady trying to open a PHP file with microsoft image viewer once :D

Bullet points and bold letters work good to display important information. Most people are lazy, and half conscience. There will be some hand holding in any software or service you offer.
