Something I Don't Understand About 2.0 Pyramids

That the very basic premise yes. There's a lot more you can do with it than just gsa blast. Basically just point any quality or powerful backlinks you make to your money site and and pump everything else through them.

Yeah I'm just getting started with SEO so keeping things simple for now. By "powerful backlinks" do you mean like create a facebook page for the money site and then drop a link to it there? Sorry if that sounds dumb.

Powerful links being backlinks with high Page Authority and Trust Flow. If you're new, you should do a lot of research into the types of backlinks, how to make them, how their power is measured/transferred, etc. Between BHW and google, there's a ton of info out there.

You serious about going after a casino keyword?

Yes.
Believe it or not I used to rank no1 for online casino, and no2 for casino (behind the film casino), but at that time (2010-2011) I had an seo partner who ranked with xrumer, so now i'm back affiliating i'm way behind the times seo wise, but my previous success has given me the belief that casino affiliating is possible.

your belief is wrong.

We obviously don't fire thousands of spam links at our money sites, as they would get penalised, so surely when we build web 2.0 sites as tier 1, then send spam links to them, then they get penalised and become useless?

Yes, even web 2.0 can hold and safe guard you but try to use some filter like 301's and Tier 2 before it and then pass the jiuce, you plan is correct but need a proper filter to have it working, Good luck

Put an additional layer of safer links, such as contextuals between spam and 2.0s.

I think we can all agree to stay away from fiverr

I've used a service recently on fiverr that i'll continue to use. It is a profile page service. There's also a member on here who has a url shortener gig on fiverr which i'm about to start using. I don't think that you can dismiss every gig just because it's on fiverr.

OP, if your website is O C D.net... then i would suggest you optimize it some for faster loading, takes a few seconds to load the page

I am pretty sure good website load times are important for SEO

(and I am no expert so I do not want to give you actual tips for loading speed optimizing)

I know. I'm trying to fix it. There are wordpress plugins for it but they do nothing.

Switch to php 7 on your host, you will see big improvements.

Apart from that, you can enable caching inside the Apache configuration and use either APC/Memcache or something similar.

You can also decrease the number of external calls from your page ( if any ) and the amount of file requests because they tend to do a lot of harm in terms of speed.

WP plugins are only good if your server configuration is at a good level.

Thanks. I actually understood very little of that, but i,ll google it and try to implement it. :)

I reckon you are in shared hosting or something. Ask your host to either switch to php7 if they havent already, or transfer your account into a php7 enabled one. The impact on speed is great and you'll have a better starting point.

Then, also ask them if they can implement a caching module into the Apache configuration. Either Memcache or APC.

After that, go to https://gtmetrix.com/ and https://www.webpagetest.org/ and see the breakdown of issues in your site.

Try to implement as many as you can, simply by googling and trying to find a s olution that matches your configuration.

Remember to always back up the files that are to be changed, if any. Alternatively you can hire someone from here or on fiverr to do it for you but it's better to reach a point where you can't solve any more issues and THEN contacting someone, so at least you learnt a thing or two in order to apply it to future projects/websites.
