    I am getting atleast 100 emails a day from my website contact form with links to stupid insurance websites. Its driving me fucking crazy. How can I stop this? I know captcha works but I have no idea how to set it up. Is there an html code I can insert into the form code that makes the user answer a question or something before the email gets sent?

    I'm sure there is a simple solution to this.

    Two things... you can block his ip address or you could remove the form and just have a contact us email link.

    I'm sure that one of the more technical members have a script or html solution
    for you for a sort of captcha.

    Try to block the IP address and (MAC) adress of hes emails and try also to do something with your spamfilter, We used to have same kind of problems with out email system, we got 100 - 200 messages in day, tittle was always (example)

    Code:
    {SPAM} We have a good job for you READ UP!
    {SPAM} you have won ipod

    These was also driving me out of my mind, and later we figured out that they was coming from torrent, which was made to send us a spam message always when someone downloads that torrent, and of course the torrent was popular :/ Then we downloader the torrent files and figured out why those was coming into our email system.

    Good luck for you :) Also try to blacklist those messages, if it gives any help.

    I would check the headers of the emails you are getting and find the mail relay he is using. Then you could block that if it is the same on all emails. Also if its the same sender email address you can just block that.

    Change the name of your page. That could get you some temporary relief while you implement another solution.

    If he is promoting the offer as an affiliate, figure out the network and report him for spamming. Or if he is just making websites for adsense report him to adsense and his webhosting, he is spamming you, fight back HARD!

    I believe that this is the man that is spamming your website. :p

    Block his IP address, and [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]recaptcha.net [/FONT]has already been pointed to you.

    You should install a capcha script to prevent this.

    I coded a script that recognizes popular captcha,
    downloading them (with session) and send them
    to decaptcher, I recommend you to find another
    solution.

    PHP:
     // some code

    } elseif (strpos ($within_form'CAPTCHA Image') ) {

          for(
    $i=0$i<count($input_fields); $i++)         {
            if(
    strpos($input_fields[$i], 'CAPTCHA Image') )   {

    $image_url get_attribute($input_fields[$i], "src");

    $image get_page($image_url$ref=$target$agent,'',$cookie_file_path$proxy);

               }
            }

    } elseif (
    strpos ($within_form'http://api.recaptcha.net/challenge') ) {

    $url_of_javascript_page return_between($within_form'src="''">'EXCL);

    $javascript_page get_page $url_of_javascript_page$ref=$target$agent,'',$cookie_file_path$proxy );

           if (
    strpos $javascript_page'challenge :')  )   {

    $some_characters return_between($javascript_page'challenge : ''timeout : 25000'EXCL );

    # strip unwanted characters

    $some_characters preg_replace('/(\'|\,)/',''$some_characters);

    $some_characters trim($some_characters);

    $image_url 'http://api.recaptcha.net/image?c='.$some_characters;

    $image get_page $image_url$ref=$target$agent,'',$cookie_file_path$proxy );

            }

    }  elseif (
    strpos $within_form'securitycode' ) ) {
           for (
    $i=0$i count $input_fields ); $i++ )         {
                   if (
    strpos $input_fields[$i], 'Anti-spam image') )   {

    // code continue

    LOL I bet there are millions of webmasters saying the same thing everyday regarding all the comment spam backlinks everyone on this forum sends out everyday.

    It's just another blackhatter trying to make some money. Just do what you need to block him and it's taken care of. That's one of the advantages of learning blackhat, it also helps you know how to stop it when you find it being used on your own sites.

    Now you know what a pain in the butt it can be though. LOL
