Most decent domains have some history, Don't worry about the links and just be happy that you got a small headstart with linkbuilding.
Don't pay too much attention to domain age in this case since in the eyes of google, unless you have the same content, Whois registry changed and the domain was expired, so it's almost like a brand new domain.

If your domain age is showing as a few months, it may be too late to benefit from much of the old juice and age the domain previously had.
