If someone has made the changes then it is not possible but it can be done through security mail.

If you got an email from [email protected] informing you that your email address has been changed, you may be able to reverse this change by clicking the Reverse this change button in that message. If other information was changed (for example, your password), and you are unable to update your email address, contact Instagram and obtain a login link or security code.

Do a password reset.
It will be fine if it was suspicious activity issue.

If your account is important, you can hire some hackers get it back
