First thing first... it could be the worst idea or may be useful. Please guys decide and let me know your feedback on it.
When we try for a long term website, we mostly research for buyers keywords and make our strategy around those keywords. And mostly it fails (however pumping enough money may make it happen even for tough competition but then competitors start pumping more money in WHS for keeping up their position).
Now, some points:
1. On page - it's okay. We must make it around our primary keyword.
2. Here I am going to talk about some Off Page (for inner pages):
i. We can just develop the most informative content around similar keywords for first 2-3 months and post them in top sites (approx 60-70% no follow but with branded along with the backlinks - no hyperlinking).
ii. When similar keywords start popping out in SERP then shouting out the Brand hyperlinked having some similar keywords again.
iii. Now inner pages will start gaining worth as they may appear in SERP top pages/positions and as their worth grows we can start checking the worth of each page and linking - like 5 inner pages to 3 inner pages.
iv. Now we can link the Home Page with exact keyword with these 2 inner pages.
I am still in the process for growing this idea completely but it's just an outline what I am thinking.
