some hacked my home, not sure how

This seems very similar to that thread in 2014, where a guy was claiming pretty much the same thing.

thank u am reading it now

im really thinking my dads computer or phone or tv some1 got access to. Because (besides the car outside the house thing) everything seems to link to him. my computer runs fine i havent had problems (so far) or any problems have noticed. I texted him, someone texted me. he gets calls and texts. someone heard him this morning.

I do have the phone numbers (2 of the however many have contacted my father) but 1 links to a landscaping company and the other to nothing but a service provider (Verizon). The number that texted me i deleted months ago.
to make things more interesting. the number that was texting me was trying to pretend to be a 15 yr old girl and luring me in to send and receive nudes and i told her/him to fuck off. most likely a male in there teens-30s lol.....

maybe they wanted a reason to fuck with me or to see what i look like? not sure but i am reading that thread now (finished the first page) and it seems they got "more" hacked than us.

not really the same thing...

He could have a spy app installed on his phone as mentioned above. Check the battery usage stats on it. Something like that would be high up the list - failing that factory reset it. The same goes for laptops where you can be spied on using the mic and webcam.

There was the fuss a while ago about samsung smart tv's "listening in" on you via their voice control features. Its perfectly possible theres some malware out there for tv's that exploit this but its more likely to be a fake tech support scam type anyway as thats where the money is. Something like this...

As for the car parked outside that goes when you unplug your network connection. You must realise that they dont have to park outside your house to intercept your net connection?

It could be someone trying to get on your wifi i guess, if thats the case then make sure WPS is turned off on your router. Make sure wireless security is not anything stupid like WEP and has a long password. You can also change your routers SSID (wifi network name) and then set it to hidden.

It really sounds like someone close to you is pranking you and your getting paranoid...

I'd bet money on some work mate of his installed a spy app on his phone - as you say your dad seems not that technical he wouldnt have noticed it.

Well either that or you're the victim of a really targeted spear phishing attack... Which make me wonder, is your dad a spy?

So guesss what, my dad DID allow remote access from someone claiming they can solve his "virus" that was non existent of course... so..... what should i look for with this? because wouldnt they have access to the entire network ie my computer as well because i havent had any problems or noticed anything.

He really thinks its the TV, could be both TV and phone.

About it being a prank... i dont know anyone or either does my family that knows someone who has the ability to even code in HTML/css so i am leaning towards doubting its a prank. i think its just someone trying to gather information on what ever their target goal is or maybe just fucking around because why would they expose themselves? Well someone did steal my mothers CC # a while back so it could be that.........yano

The car thing is the only paranoid aspect of this but it really did happen. i would unplug and they would leave within 5 seconds. like it looks like something was pointing at my home (through the tinted windows), it was a blacked out truck.

Lol maybe my dad is a spy???

I told my dad to factory reset his phone, would this help?

It doesnt need coding ability. Just enough know how to turn on "Allow unknown sources" under android security settings and then visit a website to install the app.

Just check the battery usage screen for any weird app first. It will show there unless the phones been rooted which sounds unlikely.

Lol maybe my dad is a spy???
Or maybe he's having an affair and your mum's got a private investigator on him? Go ask her!

The rest of the stuff you mention is simply dealing with pc malware infection problems. You know the drill here either learn to fix it or reformat+reinstall.

Also I had one of my CC #'s stolen late last year. Do you think its the same people?! Nah we both got skimmed, shit happens.

ill check the battery usage when i can get his phone (not with him)

LOL my dad is almost 70 probably cant even pop a woody anymore haha so i doubt its that. yeah its probably malware. but someone is DEF listening and has his phone tapped.

thanks for the tips

How would that make sense tho? They knew EXACTLY what i texted my dad month ago. They HEARD my dad talk to my mother and 5 mins later texted him. He also got a phone call he said the other day from a random guy just "talking".. he said the guy was just talking non stop and he said he told the guy he cant talk anymore and hung up. it was someone he didnt know. I really don't think it is a prank tho.

To actually get a bit paranoid. months back like even late 2015 a car with tinted windows (happened on at least 3 occasions i am aware of) pulled up near my house and jsut sat there for like 5 mins. EVERY TIME and i mean EVERYIME i saw them i thought they had something pointed towards my house so i would pull the internet cable out of the walll to turn off the internet, and they EVERY TIME would drive away and leave. This happened like clock work. Unplug the internet, they leave. 3 times

I do not think it is police because they wouldn't expose themselves like that.

You've got to be trolling me, because the same thing has been happening to me for years. If you're not trolling, THANK GOD. I thought I was the only one having this issue.

no i am not trolling. this is taking advertising/marketing to a hole new level then. like when we can implant chips in our brains and u simply think of a consumer item u want and then an ad appears in ur hologram lol

Why would someone hack your home is another good question... only to let you know about it. Seems to me if I were to want to mess with someone i would do it in a way that would not let them know I was in their system.

sweet, you found a friend to help you through this. good luck with it. :)

Burn the house down, throw in your gadgets.

Go deep into the woods, build a cabin. Live life without technology.

Problem solved.
