There are 200 factors and signals to rank a website, around 100 are known. Can you handle 200 factors to evaluate a pattern ? Or even worse, can you handle a combinaison of 15 factors together which could have an impact on your rankings ?

It isn't because you know the ingredients in Coca Cola that you can do Coca Cola, you would be able to do Cola that's all.

Google has no algorithym that can track our sites on such a deep and complex level.

Google has a 20 years experience of Data indexing of billions of web page, don't you think they could have pulled out some deep and complex statistics from that ?

hotchocko: feel why - because why donate to post solutions? not very short post, no links, just plain text with my research. i will going to post on seochat. everything really very easy about new penguin and G give us lot of signals what is happens and real solution (fixing links) which work right now. but i not want to rewrite post (already tryed to do it but without luck). Sorry, but bhw not will first forum for that post, because i unable to post it here and that extra my messages about it not looks good for me.
PS : still not sure why this post pass but solution post not passed. no any bad words, no links, i removed all special symbols as &.

The changes indeed could be a BH hunt, where Google deliberately puts out a garbage update just to see who makes "adjustments" and tries to figure it out. Then G picks up on those new patterns, which are used as a guide to better flag spam tactics or to detect BH bots, link and content schemes going forward. I think the theory needs more actual proof, but it is plausible.

While I partially agree, I believe the algorithm has also changed. Just because it is random from your standpoint doesn't mean it IS random.

Rankings will not come back just as before after a few months. Meanwhile, other pages appear and they are making improvements. You can't expect they waste their resources and then a few months later... booom... everything is back like before, right?

I agree on the part that they might be confused, but there will be solutions. We need to learn and adapt to get results.

For anyone who has been long enough in this industry, they know... this is not the first time. It takes time to come up with a solution and test it.
 
i posted my solution at seo chat - possibly penguin solution. funny what not newbies have such posting troubles here, hard to have idea what bhw put in their block words list.

Blackhat methods are always going to be part of the business they must know that.

Besides white hat websites have been hit hard also so they are going to have to change something.
 
I must say i am a coward, i submit a request, the problem is that they write me back say that we did not use spam content, and the rank changing suddenly is the normal, Does this mean i am clean from their black list and rank will back later naturely? Actually, rank is backing little by little,
 
OP, your theory or speculation seems nice to believe in but I hardly believe this is true. Google seeks to improve its search results (hard to believe in but true) and not simply play with us and play mind games with us. While every update seeks to do one thing, a negative result may follow also about the quality of their search results but they are trying hard to make the searches better (again hard to believe in but true.

I can say from experience that Google is rewarding those quality sites or those sites which have great content since after many, many months of always upholding quality content in my links, I have finally seen the fruits of my labor which are untouchable rankings. Yes, rankings may change a lot in the next 3 months but not because of the reasons you say. It will be like any other time rankings change. Google tweaking the algo.
 
Ehm... do you really believe than one bright morning everything will pop back and everything will be pre-penguin?

The only real thing you can do now is to get rid of low quality links (Including links from spunned content) to your money site and stop walking into the opposite direction (create more spammy links directly to the money site).
 
In my opinion nothing is random with the last penguin update. The algorithm is there but it sucks.. That's all.
Maybe they'll make some tweaks soon to make it less crappy.
 
The most crappiest update so far! Hopefully things would stable down in the coming months.
 
I don't agree. Their system probably does something like PR0 => (%) of ((PR3)(PR4)) etc with something that looks at relevance. So if your backlinging from junk sites and your selling car insurance, duh.

For instance, how often do you spam a list if social bookmark sites with one link and a user ID that you will never use again? You know how easy this would be to figure out and not count those links? Even easier to say if you had over a certain amount to flag it or reduce your points.


If you had 4 or 5% of your back links to junk and the other 95% coming from relevant sites you would be fine.

This is only a guess based on logic.
 
I have not been affected at all from googles new update, My rankings actually are still the same but if they were affected i think its best you try new methods,etc. Not give up.
