    There were similar projects in the past, providing cheap lighting = enabling children to read/do their homework

    Cool idea

    Note to Self: Purchase water bottles, bleach, and drill holes in roof to implement power-saving lighting. >___<

    Yes, they live in slum areas. However, there's a foundation whom are initiating this project. You might want to support.

    anyone who has the time to make a check on it, if it is legit?

    I would be happy to donate, just need the reinsurance, that i am not pouring cash into some organisations overhead, but really to those make it happening.

    anyone care to explain what makes the bottle glow(is it just water?)

    the guy is a pure genius, considering he has no educational/academical experiences. I've seen the documentary, and I live in the same country.

    The water has a mixture of bleach/chlorine.

    I feel you... that's what I hate about politics.

    Is it the same as i have for my swimmingpool?
    So, why doesn't my swimmingpool not light up ? :D

    the bleach is to stop the water going mouldy/green, its like a skylight dont think it actually lights up at night

    The bleach makes it "glow" and brighter, whiter...and keeps it clean :)
