is there a software/service to track keyword ranking? better, free version? all I need is to check ranking for some keywords.

thanks

If you're checking more than a site or two for a few keywords, any software you use can really eat through proxies. I ended up using one of the rank tracking services advertised here on BHW. Just worth finding out what each of them considers a keyword, as they all have limits on the number of keywords you can track per plan.

For instance, serpbook will track google, bing, and yahoo for a keyword and site, and count that as one keyword, but if you wanted to track two sites for the same keyword, that would count as two keywords.

With some trackers I think you can track multiple google languages/regions for a keyword, but that might count as multiple keywords.

Rank Tracker is one tool you can use, but again, you'll need a lot of proxies if you're tracking more than a few sites/keywords, and using proxies from different regions could get you some inconsistent results.

I use SerpFox and really can recommend it. Nice graphs, you can create a journal for a kwd, group sites and ask it to notify you when something happens to your kwds. Also you never have to wait for the SERPs to load since it is done automatically few times a day.

Yeah, it costs but like $10/month so it's not much, really.

It looks like this:

If you have extra $99 to spend per month, then go for SEOmoz membership, it has keyword tracker too, besides all other tools.

Try Rank Tracker. I've been using it for a while and was quite happy with it.

Rank Tracker is that tool with red icon, right? I tried using it for a while but didn't like that I had to wait for the rankings to refresh. What I love about SERPFox is you don't have to wait each time.

Keyword rank checker tool to check your search engine position ranking for any keyword in the major search engines and get an advanced report including related keywords and spell check, check out this eocentro.com/tools/search-engines/keyword-position.html

I used AWR before, it works fine. However, it is a year subscription, minimum $99/year. I really do not need all kinds of features. all I need is a tool to track keyword ranking in a batch, and I may check it once or twice per month, so I guess I can use a large pause time, so proxy is not a problem. However, I do have lots of keywords.

anyone used http://tools.seobook.com/firefox/rank-checker/ ? it looks ok. anyone used it before?

thanks
