What software, websites and/or tools do you use for creating animated banners?

I'm currently using The Gimp, but even with plugins it's really inconvenient and time consuming.

Is something out there, that's useful for creating lots and lots of banners with light variations?
Possibly for different banner-sizes, too?

Thanks!

Personally i use Gimp too, it's pretty fast if u get used to it.
But maybe you can also try these:
Bannersnack
My Banner Maker
Bannernow

we're using Photoshop, it's really the best and worth the price..
we used Gimp for a while for static banners, never for animated ones! but not looking for anything to replace Photoshop :)

As for me I prefer Photoshop. The best tool in the world for any type of designs. Yes, it's expensive, but we should pay for quality

Gif = Adobe Photoshop
HTML5 = Google web site Maker or Adobe Edge Animate

I found new way for gif. This way is hard but it's possible to create super awesome banners (with 3d, video, etc). For this, I use After Effects - then I export png sequences and open them in photoshop - then save as gif. Also, it's possible to export gif from After Effects (with Adobe Encoding), but in this case, picture has much more weight

If you're looking for combining several separate images into infinite loop, use Photoshop. But if real animated motion is what you do want, start with After Effects instead.

Photoshop really is the best tool. On top of being able to animate your banners, Photoshop has all the best tools for creating the graphics and type treatments... it's the tool that all the pros use.

Im not sure if people use flash but that was pretty dam good. But your best bet is photoshop.....maybe after effects?

Thanks for your post. Guys..I'm using Adobe photoshop for creating animated banners. Here I can see you are using Gimp. As far I know it has some scarcity. If you wanted to gate more facilities then you also can use Adobe photoshop. Bye..
