I was always the one that automated stuff, while he shared niche ideas and conversion optimization tips, even traffic sources/methods. This was going on and off, and at least a few times a year we would do something together and earn some bread. Nice story, but AI put an end to it.

And now after all this time I realized I was only a tool for this guy, and not a friend. But maybe for some business is just business.

Why? Another common connection confirmed it is now using chatgpt to create these automation scripts.

I'm blaming him for using a great tool? No.

But our connection ended right there, and I'm always the guy who make the first message, asks how things are going and the like. It's not like I'm closed in.

I was replaced by the machine, and I can live with that. But I can't stop thinking about how a cold connection is better than a warm one - machine vs human. Also I'm not a bad coder by any means, and always come with genuine ideas and solutions. I was enjoying this 'friendship' as equal as I enjoyed earning money together.

To be honest, it's too early to tell AI works. It's not doing its job very well. I have to recheck everything which is a pain. Unlike humans, before they even reach 50% of the work, you know it has been checked a bit.

Just use AI to help you get out of a block not as your main weapon of choice.
