Why is the card popular then?
For various reasons:
- what you already mentioned, when you don't earn much, a wire transfer can be unreasonably pricey, while getting the money to your Payoneer card costs $1-$2
- not everyone owns or be able to own a bank account, getting a not so legal Payoneer account is a helluva lot easier than having a bank account with fake details, stealth Payoneer accounts can be bought
- some companies restrict certain payment methods for certain countries, sometimes Payoneer is the only viable option (besides cheque)
- Payoneer provides you with a virtual US bank account, where you can receive payments from companies such as Amazon, which is otherwise not possible for international affiliates without a US bank account
- when you receive your first $100 to your card, you'll receive a $25 bonus, if you joined via the refer a friend program, the friend who referred you also gets $25
- getting paid via Payonner is fast, certainly faster than an international wire transfer, which can take quite a few business days, with Payoneer you can get your money in a few hours for a $5 fee or in 2 days at most for the usual $1-$2 fee (depending on partner)
- send money to other Payoneer account holders without any fees
- tax evasion, no need to explain this one i guess
- and of course you have all the advantages what you have, if you own a Mastercard
I have never paid the yearly fee, there are some partners, which have a deal with Payoneer, and you don't have to pay that, Fiverr is one of those.
