OK let me put it simple to you, I have a lot of sites, most using the same techniques of ranking, some not. About 20 got slapped, one of which was my biggest site. It means nothing, you are here preaching as though you are an expert because your "site" did not get hit. Throwing services from here at a site, and it not getting hit off one update, does not give you guru status. An update will come along soon and wipe your dreams of that Datsun Sunny away, and I for one will be here to laugh at you.

I wish more people would take a Statistics class so they would understand sample sizes and statistical outliers.
Newbs with 1 or 2 websites always giving their "expert advice" without regards to sample size.
OP if you survived the last update good for you. Most of my websites did as well (I own/manage a couple hundred or so). However even with all these websites I can only recognize "trends" as even this number of websites is too small a sample size to draw definitive conclusions from.
Anyway theres a good chance you were just lucky, and sometimes being lucky is better than being good.
