SO WEIRD-Following is more limited

Since I can't follow and unfollow in the same day I need to follow until I reach the limit and then unfollow some, but the weird thing is that I can't follow more than 6200..the day after it's 5700.. and now 5400 and the limit just keeps being lower for me..How weird is that? Is it like a punishment or something lol from instagram?

That's because you follow private users.. when you followed someone who is private, it counts it as a follower, but doesn't add it up to the counter.

Oh okay! I thought that when they accepted the request it counted as a follower.. Well thanks!!
