makes me genuinely sad to come across great domain names that have held and not developed for literally decades.. all because some asshole(s) think they're on a goldmine and someones gonna come along and offer a few grand for it

    oh well.. that's life.

Enjoy your domain hoarding.. you domain hoarders!!

Literally decades? Really not sure how many of the 250k websites that existed in 1996 that you would want to use anyway, at least not of those not still being used.

Hell yeah I'm hoarding domains. If I want to start up a new project or sell one, I fucking can because I have the aged domains to do it.

I was making a joke based on the OP saying literally decades which would be at least 20 years ago... when there were less than 500,000 websites on the internet. hope that helps.

Many websites were closed down in 1995 to 1997. There is a 55% chance that the domain is being wasted. Per day 12,000 to 16,000 website were closed down. Well, they are good aged domain.

Guess it all started when exact match domains used to do wonders.

Now just how accurate is this 55% chance?
