So many sites ranking from poorly made PBN's.

Having high quality sites linking into your site is the most effective way of ranking.
Shit! I would have never guessed that "Having high quality sites linking into your site is the most effective way of ranking" @mickyfu.

Damn, @mickyfu spewing some common sense here guys, and as for @PBNbros, he can't even "bother to tutor me" on the effectiveness of PBNs.

I guess the verdict has been established, you cannot question the effectiveness of PBN, talk about it, or even discuss the pros and cons.

@mickyfu, can't even properly defined what a "high quality" site is. But you know what guys, whenever I hear "high quality" I think of fiverr sellers, because "high quality" now a days means shit. So, If you ever hear someone say you need "high quality" without them being able to properly defined what "high quality" is, then you must know they don't know what the heck they are talking about.

I guess I need to read the hundreds of posts about PBNs like @PBNbros suggested, and try every single PBN on the BST market thread, because they are still effective. Only the low quality ones aren't but am sure @PBNbros only has high quality PBN's since he knows what he is talking about. He surely did take some time to explain how PBN's work.

Don't give up the day job, those shelves aren't going to stack themselves.

You have all the reading comprehension of a special child.

How is that related to PBNs , we need to keep the conversation on point. So, what are your pros and cons about PBN's.

Here I will make it easier for you . Describe in simple english what you have found out to be working for you in terms of PBN, let everybody know how much you know since you seem to be protecting PBN's so much.

I was looking at the backlink profile some sites and I can see that it has 1000's of links from poorly made PBN's, that are not relevant to the niche.

I am new to PBN's and have been taught to buy niche relevant domains and meet certain criteria ( logo, different hosting/ip/ different whois details, 5 articles of 500 words, contact page). . I have also been told to only link once from each PBN to a single domain. But these PBN's are linking 100's of times to the same domain.

These sites have had steady rankings for years, with no penalties.

Is this a legit tactic? Feel I am missing something

In Florida we call these high quality guest posts from The HOTH, brah

If the competition is low, even low made PBN might still work, but quite strange, I'd recommend go with a high private PBN and not low link as you'll get flagged

Here are some example of the keywords, I would say pretty high competition. They are doing something right!

-Scottish property auctions ( 3600 searches a month)
-property auctions Scotland ( 2400 searches a month)

What ranking positions are you looking at? For me Scottish Property Auctions brought up these as the top 3:
1. auctionhouse.co.uk
2. futurepropertyauctions.co.uk
3. wilsonsauctions.com

From a quick look in Majestic #1 and #2 have a very strong backlink profile, lot's of newspaper sites and niche relevant sites.

#3 isn't as strong for sure with some possible PBN's and less relevant sites in the mix.

Here you go kid, I will make it easy for you. I make my own sites and rank others with them. I buy PBN links off people I trust, and I have serp increase off their service. Therefore softlad, I conclude that PBN links are effective for ranking websites.

Come back when you are making more than £6 a fortnight, then we can discuss where you are going wrong in life in general.

I'm not sure what world you're on but PBNs are still very relevant and get rankings really far. Maybe try it sometime?
He's trying to scare away everyone so he can get the full cake for himself. :D

Guys, guys. This thread is not about whether PBNs work or not, but why some websites rank with shitty made PBNs.

@The Night Rider In term of how effective the PBNs are, there are 2 things: semantic power and link juice(this applies to every single link you get).

So we can split PBNs in a another 2 components: value and reability.

A bad, full of footprints PBN will still act as a high quality PBN in term of value(considering they have exact same backlinks and the content is equal), is just the reability which gets fucked up.

A shitty made one is target of being reported by competitors/torched by a manual review. But if nobody reports it, and google won't find it(which mostly they won't bother), then that PBN can last indefinitely.

Why sellers recommend you niche relevancy, logo and all that shit?

To get the most of your PBN.

So we're comparing PBNs to social media?
Can we compare Springerly cookies and bricks next, since we're comparing unrelated things to each other. Both will break your teeth if you bite them, but one is designed for eating. Yay, this is fun!

But seriously OP, ignore guru

As to your question: they haven't been caught. Some niches can tolerate more spammy stuff, and sometimes it literally boils down to not being caught... YET.
A niche I am playing in, 1 site has hundreds of 301 redirects and has for years. The redirected domains are keyword stuffed, craziness. Everything you hear should tank your site. So, what does it tell me when I see that across multiple sites in a niche I am playing it? That I can be a little more risk tolerant myself, I can take a few more chances, I can push the envelope a bit. I don't go ape shit crazy, but I do things I normally wouldn't.

By far the best answer in this thread so far.

Something I'll add is that I find the UK serps to be more tolerant than the US ones, possibly just purely down to the volume of searches/results.

Hey man, I was looking at the auction house, if fairness majestic will be more accurate than the "raven tools"backlink" checker I was using haha

Oh, how did I miss this awesome flamewar? Nobody even tagged me? Oh guys... dammit...

To OP - Your perception of "well built" PBNs is off I am afraid. What you described there is not much better than those poor PBN sites. @patriotnews described it perfectly. Some niches are spammier than others and eventually, these sites will get hit. It's not a rule, it's an exception. And believe it or not, however it looks, those people know very well what they are doing (in most cases). Newbies will never pull this kind of stuff off.

To the kid who registered today and already spams crap about PBNs being dead... sure buddy. :) It's the same kind of people who believe in alternative news and that we are all being chemtrailed every day. PBNs work perfectly fine if you know how to build them properly. And unless some drastic change happens that will turn Google upside down, PBNs will continue working. Most people who bitch about PBNs are people who either cannot evaluate domain, are unable to build PBN properly or got shit results for going after hard KWs or failing in some other SEO aspect.

If you want to rank something, however cynical it will sound, it's either PBNs or guest posts. You can have fun with some advanced techniques, if you have the knowledge and resources to test, but the rule of thumb is PBNs and guest posts. Sad state of SEO in 2017.

which has been there for like 10 years......

I don't need no stinking seo or PBN to make money. People like you need to keep this myth of PBN's make the world go around. But the truth of the matter is that , am not the dumb one here, you are just mad because there are other ways to bring traffic to a site than a PBN. Look @mickyfu, you might think that I don't know jack shit, but I know my way around the interwebz. I know what the heck I'm talking about, I'm worth my salt, not just talking out of my ass like you did on your previous post. Soon, once you read more of my posts you will see that I'm not just your average Joe, but at the moment you can't see that because you think I'm just some random noob. Trust me, I'm not!

smells like CPI IG spam to me...

5 articles of 500 words is really like 2009 SEO stuff, ask @mickyfu we can at least both agree on that.
