Actually, it depends on the results of the Google's clustering algorithm. The closer your content to the center of the cluster the higher you will rank for that cluster related keywords.

I thought I was an SEO expert 2 years ago. Now I spent 2 years on bhw I'm still learning every single day without exception.

A completely empty and nonsense thread ! what's your point OP ? everyone knows that fake gurus as you call them exists everywhere . And for the sales thread do they have to be "SEO gurus" to open one and make sales ? I know very little about SEO and I have a team that can rank me for anything :) Remember that you don't have to be an expert in your field to start a successful business . It's all about surrounding yourself with the right kind of people .

Besides, I've seen nothing but helpful threads on this forum that have helped my websites rank when I implemented them.

Yes, there are some shit threads and some shit services... but you know what's right and wrong, so what do you have to worry about?

I've not seen ONE PERSON who has claimed to be a guru or expert on anything on this forum. Those who know about what they're talking are quickly recognized for it, just like those who do not are called out.

This is correct. Also thanks and reputation have very little to do with this. I used to think it did but soon realized that probably the more thanks and rep they have just means the more time they spend on here and are making less money. I think its the guys with like 30 posts over like 5 years that are banking hard and know their ****. This of course is not always though.

seo is just like driving, no matter how long you have been driving, still need to open your eyes and control the wheel. In seo, eyes are reading and learning everyday dor new stuffs for algo update. As for controlling the wheel in here meaning base on what your eyes tell you, steer to the right path.

I feel sorry for you if you had followed a guide which you believed would be effective for your SEO from someone here and you failed. If you really had strong base/knowledge on SEO then you know what to believe, you know what to follow, you know what to drop and you know how to mix it up with your own! If that is the case then stop whining SEO noob
