If there was a war we could at least understand it as our country and all future prosperity would depend on it.

The only reason these things are under threat from the virus is because of the draconian laws that authoritarians are passing which are not based in facts, logic or reason.

For example vaccine passports have been proven by multiple countries to do nothing to slow the spread of the virus, so why the fuck are they a thing? This makes no sense.

Telling the public that the new variant escapes vaccines... so you need to get more vaccines makes no sense.

Telling people they can't go to work because it's dangerous but work christmas parties are fine makes no sense.

Telling people they must obey the lockdowns or face a £10,000 fine and then getting caught 1 year later running your own parties makes no sense.

But you're upset that people, after 2 bloody years are beginning to question these things?

I'm not asking for the right to spread the virus, I want my fucking life back. After 2 years of struggle it's clear that this is not something rules or regulations can fix so let's get on with it.

After not being able to go to the funeral of 2 grand parents and losing £1,000's in travel affiliate income I'm done.

Every statistical model these people have done has been wrong, why are we still listening to them?

This is a crisis that's been hijacked by people for their own interests. It's destroyed families, businesses, trust in elected officials, pensions/savings and we're going to live with the economic impact of this for the rest of our lives.

The fact you want it to continue cannot be based in facts at this point, you want it to continue for political reason or you've just been manipulated.

Using vaccines to get out of this mess isn't working and if people even bring up alternative methods for medicine you freak out.

Look up Brazil COVID cases and deaths , and check the vaccination progress. Coincidence? I don’t think so. Brazil has a very strong vaccination background, it used to be mandatory, back in the 80s. Very few antivaxxers.

I think the penalty for every antivaxxer should be to get locked up in a hospital watching people die until they understand that this virus is real and that every single doctor and nurse in there has been vaccinated for a reason.

I am neither for nor against vaccines, and I have nothing to add... However, this quoted post is still perfectly valid. Also, it is not only about processed meat. Really guys... have you ever read the labels before eating processed food in general? For example try those premium quality orange juices with no added sugar (LOL), and compare them with the low qualitty ones. Also see what you get when you buy stuffs like health drinks, snack bars and so on. Here's a clue, you are already pushing shit to your body with every meal and every drink you take.

If you scroll down in your source, belonging to the table you can find important bits of information for the correct interpretation of the data:
"In the context of very high vaccine coverage in the population, even with a highly effective vaccine, it is expected that a large proportion of cases, hospitalisations and deaths would occur in vaccinated individuals, simply because a larger proportion of the population are vaccinated than unvaccinated and no vaccine is 100% effective. This is especially true because vaccination has been prioritised in individuals who are more susceptible or more at risk of severe disease. Individuals in risk groups may also be more at risk of hospitalisation or death due to non-COVID-19 causes, and thus may be hospitalised or die with COVID-19 rather than because of COVID-19"

It's just as important if not more important than the data itself. Most of it should be common sense too.

If you check the vaccination rate for the elderly in the UK, it's around or above 90%, for the oldest it's 95%. You can't draw any conclusion by taking only the number of deaths into account, when you have 90-95 people vaccinated out of 100 in such vulnerable age groups. You're expecting to have more unvaccinated deaths in a group of people, where almost everyone is vaccinated. Vaccines aren't an immortality shot for the elderly.

Actually if you want to prove something with this set of data, that's only possible with the younger age groups, because that's where the vaccination rate is lower, close to 50-60%, they aren't as likely to die anytime soon, so that's a somewhat "fair fight" between vaccinated and unvaccinated. And what do you find there? Surprise, surprise, under 60 more unvaccinated died than vaccinated. Knowing this, does this set of data proves what you wanted to prove? It sure doesn't look like it to me. Not only that, it debunks the 'i'm young and healthy, so i don't need the vaccine' myth too.

Data can be a double-edged sword, especially if you misinterpret it. The same set can be used to prove the opposite of what you originally wanted to prove.
