So I bought a Google News Approved Site

I bought a Google News Approved site. I would say the price is good and also the ranking is good. I checked on google news site using site: url and found that it's really indexed and there are many articles listed on google news form this site. And I also checked the Moz DA and backlinks regularly and its increasing almost weekly. I'm very happy with the progress but there are 2 problems here:

1) The whole site runs on plugin that self generate news from various sources and sometimes the post generated rubbish text and definitely it wouldn't pass copyscape. I tried using spinner but the sentences become unreadable or looked translated.

2) With average of 2-4k visitors each day I thought the traffic was very good. But bounce rate is high and my adsense earning is merely $1-$3 each day.

So experts here, please advise how else can I monetise this site?

Hi, @Tzehuat. Before you think of other ways to monetize your website, I believe you need to fix the spun content first. Can you rewrite 3 to 5 news articles per day?
 
You`ve answered yourself, if the content is shit, nobody will read it.
A site with 50 UV a day can make more money as one from the same niche with 5k; it`s not about traffic but conversions.

Sell guest posts on Fiverr, you can earn 100-300 a month.
Lately, everybody is on Google News, no need to be manually approved anymore, I didn`t know that as well.
 
Google news approval doesn't really matter now, the algo was changed few months ago.

Not the best way to monetize a news site.

CPA pop ups work much better - I've used that for those kinds of sites and have done pretty good.

Adsense is really just for the low hanging fruit stuff and is really not the best way to monetize a news site.

Hire a good writer who can provide 3-5 articles per day with cheap price.

I think to rewrite 3-5 is no issue but it's nothing compared to the 4000+ posts created over past few months. Will the slow down be significant enough for google news to drop my website?

Tons of sellers on Fiverr are doing that but I'm not sure how many get business. And the seller whom I assumed is an expert in google news, told me using publisher to get news in google news is different from having the website approved under google news. He told me if not approved, u cant get into top news.

The seller told me apparently Google News Approved sites are even more highly sought after now. Few months back, the creator of Google News Krishna Bharat joined back Google and the whole ball game changed. He recognised that approved sites write rubbish and are still indexed in their top news. So now they allowed non-approved sites to submit their news contents through publisher to get their news in google news. But that is not auto. Anyway I'm no expert in this. The seller told me all these and I googled to verify his claims.

The issue is I'm not sure whether i can make money from this site at all. So a bit reluctant to spend more money now.

I use a handful of them; you just need to peruse them and find ones that have offers relating to the kinds of news you are providing.

offervault will give you some direction there.

If I had the energy I'd create a thread here with the offervault type content but that is a solid site for finding offers that will work for particular sites.

Do check the reviews of the networks before hopping on the train as some really suck and some are really professional.

What plugin are u using to generate news? WordPress based?
 
Also u need cpm based ad networks u would make a lot more money per day and be able to afford writers to grow

actually my situation same like OP. Mine also a news site but is not really about news. , what politics etc happening

CPA, actually is too much I mean so many CPA companies out there , some don't pay some is indeed good , Peerfly sadly is gone . the last I try
